The 5035 crystal oscillator IC series provide 1.8V to 3.3V operation and high-frequency CMOS output operation. Frequency ranges are 70 MHz to 165 MHz (1.8V) and 70 MHz to 220 MHz (2.5 to 3.3V) using 3rd overtone and fundamental oscillation modes. The crystal oscillator circuit is a Colpitts oscillator with the necessary oscillator capacitors and Feedback resistor built-in. The oscillation characteristics feature little variation with supply voltage, providing stable oscillation over a wide supply voltage range. The output circuit comprises a CMOS buffer that can operate at high frequencies and drive a 15pF capacitance load. The devices are fabricated using a proprietary BiCMOS process with the oscillator circuit and output buffer on a single chip, making them ideal as SMD-type high-frequency crystal oscillators.
